Stadium virus prevention to test fans’ need for privacy

The metal detectors every sports fan has become accustomed to at the gate might soon be accompanied by thermal body scanners as part of the gargantuan task of preventing the spread of the new coronavirus and other airborne diseases. And that might be just one thing the public will need to be comfortable with in order to bring games back for in-person viewing.

Brees apologizes for ‘insensitive’ NFL kneeling comments

MLB rejects 114-game schedule, threatens plan of about 50

MLB rejected the players’ proposal for a 114-game regular season with no additional salary cuts, and will turn its attention to a shortened slate of perhaps 50 games or fewer. Owners last week proposed an 82-game schedule starting in early July.

Surfers 'paddle out,' circle up in memory of George Floyd
